What Are They? GREAT Question!



An electronic cigarette is an electronic device that vaporizes a liquid solution to create an alternative to smoking. FreE-Cigs models are available in two and three-piece systems which consist of a rechargeable battery and a cartomizer, or a rechargeable battery with a separate atomizer and cartridge. The cartomizer in the two-piece systems is a cartridge with a coil built in that heats up the E-Liquid of your choosing.  The three-piece systems separate the cartomizer into two pieces, an atomizer and cartridge, where the atomizer is the heating element and the cartridge holds your E-Liquid of choice. Glossary of Terms

Battery: Rechargeable lithium battery used to power Electronic Cigarettes. Batteries generally have an LED indicator (various colors) on the tip that mimics the fire on a traditional cigarette.

Automatic Battery: Automatic batteries are operated by taking a drag like you would on a traditional cigarette. When a drag is taken the battery is activated and the liquid in the cartridge is turned into vapor.

Manual Battery: Manual batteries are operated by pushing a small button located on the battery shaft. When the button is pressed the battery is activated and the liquid in the cartridge is turned into vapor.

E-Liquid: Liquid used to refill cartridges and cartomizers. E-Liquid is available in many different flavors and strengths, but is also available without nicotine. All our cartridges and cartomizers are refillable. Using E-Liquid to refill cartridges and cartomizers is cheaper than using pre-filled versions. Pre-filled cartomizers and cartridges can be refilled with the same or different flavor liquid. It is recommended that you replace cartomizers after refilling them about 6 times as the cotton and atomizer break down over time, resulting in poor performance.  When switching flavors, we recommend rinsing the cotton filler with water and allowing to air dry. Atomizer: Atomizes the E-Liquid to create vapor. Atomizers screw into the battery and attach to a cartridge containing E-Liquid. Only 3 piece systems contain a separate atomizer.  2 piece systems utilize a cartomizer that combines the atomizer and cartridge into one piece.

Cartridge: Contains flavored E-Liquid used to create vapor.  All cartridges can be refilled with E-Liquid, but it is recommended they be replaced after 10 refills.

Cartomizer: Contains the flavored E-Liquid used to create vapor and a built in atomizer. A cartomizer combines the atomizer and cartridge into one piece, eliminating the need for a separate atomizer and cartridge. All cartomizers can be refilled with E-Liquid, but it is recommended that they be replaced after 6 refills or so.

USB Charger: Device that the battery plugs into to charge the battery. USB chargers can be connected to your computer USB port, a USB car charger, and/or a USB wall charger adapter. Most chargers have a light that when plugged in is green or blue. When the battery is screwed in and charging begins, the light will turn red. When the battery is charged, the light will turn back to green or blue. Typical charging times range between 1 and 2 hours.

Wall Charger Adapter: AC plug that is inserted into a wall outlet and has a USB port. Most of these have a red indicator light that illuminates when plugged into an outlet. The light does not change when you are charging a battery. The light on the USB charger lets you know when your battery is charged.
