FreE-Cigs.com is proud to call the Chicago suburb its new home and is looking forward to transitioning from a strictly online business to an online and storefront operation. 

FreE-Cigs.com specializes in beginner and advanced electronic cigarette products, which are a popular alternative to traditional tobacco products.

VapeBash 2012 Recap

That's right, yesterday our staff attended the inaugural VapeBash organized by the Windy City Vapers Club in Rosemont, IL. We were looking forward to attending the event that many came to attend from around the country to vape and share their products. There we saw dozens of other industry professionals and enthusiastic vapers.

We were warmly welcomed by the volunteers and event organizers when we registered.

As soon as we walked into VapeBash we recognized other businesses and products. We arrived just after 6:00 p.m. Vendors and vapers came from Phoenix, Minneapolis, Michigan, Indiana, and New York, just to name a few.

Throughout the evening we sampled dozens of new E-Liquids. One of our favs was Strawberry Cheesecake, yum.

In addition to other online vendors we met the producers and personalities of VapeTV. They were broadcasting live, and around 6:30 p.m. there were over sixty viewers watching and listening to their broadcast of VapeBash.

The highlight for our staff was meeting Phil Busardo of tasteyourjuice.com. Click here for his review of VapeBash. Phil and his entourage drove eight hours just for the weekend all the way from Rochester, NY. 

Phil is a well known and well respected reviewer in the e-cig and vaping community, and we spotted him right away. It was a treat to get to know him and his crew. Thanks for taking the time to speak with us, Phil!

In summary, we are very happy we attended VapeBash. It gave us a chance to sample other products, meet vapers, and see what the market demands. As always, keep checking our Facebook page for content and other photos not shown on our blog. We're always open for feedback so don't hesitate to email us if there's a product you'd like us to carry.

Happenings and Updates

We're a few weeks into our launch and there's been a lot of buzz among our friends and family. We've sold products and have handed out business cards. To give you an idea, our two most popular items to date are the F-Cigs 510X, the F-Cigs 510A and the 510X batteries.

Help Me Help You

Those that know me from at least a few years ago, knew me as a smoker. Because I was, for over 10 years, I smoked at least pack a day. Most of that time I didn’t care to quit, I never thought much about it. But there were those times I tried everything I could; the patch, the gum, whatever. It wasn’t until 4 years ago that I was finally able kick the habit...but that was because I met the love of my life, and she helped convince me it was what I needed to do. It sucked, an awful, horrible experience. But I have her to thank for the end result. Now, I’ve had my fair share over those four years, but only socially…you’ve all heard the “ I only smoke when I drink” deal before…that’s basically what it became for me after over 3 years without a drag. Well, now I’ve turned to E-cigs, and for over 3 months I haven’t touched a traditional cigarette. And I have absolutely no desire to. I wish I had known about this four years ago…how much easier my experience would have been.

If you, or someone you know is a smoker, I strongly urge you to check these out. Now, I can’t guarantee it will work, but I’ve run into quite a few lucky people who have finally kicked their smoking habit. And like I said, it completely curbs my urge to smoke. This is not as much a sales pitch as it is a plea to help as many people as we can. You can ignore it, hate me for soliciting my Facebook community, laugh…whatever. But you can also make the decision to give this thing a real shot.

What Are They? GREAT Question!



An electronic cigarette is an electronic device that vaporizes a liquid solution to create an alternative to smoking. FreE-Cigs models are available in two and three-piece systems which consist of a rechargeable battery and a cartomizer, or a rechargeable battery with a separate atomizer and cartridge. The cartomizer in the two-piece systems is a cartridge with a coil built in that heats up the E-Liquid of your choosing.  The three-piece systems separate the cartomizer into two pieces, an atomizer and cartridge, where the atomizer is the heating element and the cartridge holds your E-Liquid of choice. Glossary of Terms

Battery: Rechargeable lithium battery used to power Electronic Cigarettes. Batteries generally have an LED indicator (various colors) on the tip that mimics the fire on a traditional cigarette.

Automatic Battery: Automatic batteries are operated by taking a drag like you would on a traditional cigarette. When a drag is taken the battery is activated and the liquid in the cartridge is turned into vapor.

Manual Battery: Manual batteries are operated by pushing a small button located on the battery shaft. When the button is pressed the battery is activated and the liquid in the cartridge is turned into vapor.

E-Liquid: Liquid used to refill cartridges and cartomizers. E-Liquid is available in many different flavors and strengths, but is also available without nicotine. All our cartridges and cartomizers are refillable. Using E-Liquid to refill cartridges and cartomizers is cheaper than using pre-filled versions. Pre-filled cartomizers and cartridges can be refilled with the same or different flavor liquid. It is recommended that you replace cartomizers after refilling them about 6 times as the cotton and atomizer break down over time, resulting in poor performance.  When switching flavors, we recommend rinsing the cotton filler with water and allowing to air dry. (Please note: please visit our Refill Center to purchase all E-Liquids.)

Atomizer: Atomizes the E-Liquid to create vapor. Atomizers screw into the battery and attach to a cartridge containing E-Liquid. Only 3 piece systems contain a separate atomizer.  2 piece systems utilize a cartomizer that combines the atomizer and cartridge into one piece.

Cartridge: Contains flavored E-Liquid used to create vapor.  All cartridges can be refilled with E-Liquid, but it is recommended they be replaced after 10 refills.

Cartomizer: Contains the flavored E-Liquid used to create vapor and a built in atomizer. A cartomizer combines the atomizer and cartridge into one piece, eliminating the need for a separate atomizer and cartridge. All cartomizers can be refilled with E-Liquid, but it is recommended that they be replaced after 6 refills or so.

USB Charger: Device that the battery plugs into to charge the battery. USB chargers can be connected to your computer USB port, a USB car charger, and/or a USB wall charger adapter. Most chargers have a light that when plugged in is green or blue. When the battery is screwed in and charging begins, the light will turn red. When the battery is charged, the light will turn back to green or blue. Typical charging times range between 1 and 2 hours.

Wall Charger Adapter: AC plug that is inserted into a wall outlet and has a USB port. Most of these have a red indicator light that illuminates when plugged into an outlet. The light does not change when you are charging a battery. The light on the USB charger lets you know when your battery is charged.
